The following news items have been published in the previous month:
- 24 Aug 2025: Aminoglycoside breakpoints - publication in CMI 2025

- 20 Aug 2025: Updated Warning against gradient tests for benzylpenicillin MICs in S. pneumoniae.
The Warning against the use of gradient tests for determining benzylpenicillin MICs in S. pneumoniae was updated August 2025.
- 19 Aug 2025: Recommendations for modifications to the ISO broth microdilution MIC method
A joint EUCAST and CLSI working group has published recommendations for when and how modifications to the ISO refernce method for broth microdilution MIC deterrmination are accepted.
- 14 Aug 2025: Daptomycin wild type MIC distributions and ECOFFs reviewed
Daptomycin MIC distributions for staphylococcal species have been added and ECOFFs determined following the update. Changes to ECOFFs are few and evident from the list of individual species and ECOFFs. Daptomycin resistance in Staphylococcus aureus is rare and should when encountered be further investigated.
- 01 Aug 2025: Consultation on adding a comment for susceptible carbapenemase-producing Enterobacterales
